“ Clearly this is a well loved favorite restaurant- busy even in September. The interesting and delicious food was so good that we returned the next night during our short stay. We ordered the caprese starter which seemed shy of tomatoes but otherwise had all the right ingredients presented prettily. My husband devoured his lamb tacos, only pausing to sigh with pleasure. The generously-sized warm salad I ordered was full of savory notes- prosciutto, mushrooms, fresh greens, potatoes and a lovely balsamic dressing. We recommend calling for reservations as it seemed the tables were nearly always full in this snug Victorian restaurant. Oh- the gingerbread dessert is absolutely scrumptious and enough for two. ”
“ Fantastic food and service, as always! Definitely a nice treat for the hub and I. We did not have a reservation but were able to sit at the counter which was fun in its own water. We Loved the herb butter and delicious bread starter. The salmon special was phenomenal, such wonderful flavor, although I made a mistake in switching the potatoes out for the coconut curry risotto which was too sweet for the salmon. The grilled asparagus was divine. The hub had the beef stroganoff pasta with horseradish sour cream sauce and loved it. Great tiny foodie restaurant that was filled at 5pm with happy diners. Pleasing artwork on the walls and decor. Highly recommend! ”

“ Fountain Cafe was lovely. It had the feel of a long-standing local favorite that has managed to dodge the death trap of staleness. Our pastas were lovely, although my favorites were it appetizers - roasted garlic and stuffed mushrooms. Overall The vibe was somewhere between comfort food and new American - but even where it leaned towards comfort food, which in the pastas it definitely did, it mostly managed to avoid heaviness. The seafood throughout was a standout. ”

I love that someone had a dream to feed people great food that leaves them wanting to return for more, then followed that dream and created the intimate setting and has continued to delight and impress! “ A very good spot to eat. It is a small intimate place with great food and an excellent wine selection. We went here for my GF parents 47th anniversary! This is one of their favorite spots! We had a great time with excellent service! The food was unique and fresh tasting. It has on the street parking so be aware of that. ”
